1. Installing Windows 7 using Boot Camp (OS X 10.6 & Macbook 13" Late 2009 Unibody). This only installs 2 partitions which are Mac and Windows partition respectively.
2. Installing Windows 7 without using Boot Camp (OS X 10.6 & Macbook 13" Late 2009 Unibody). This doesn't mean not to use Boot Camp at all. We still need to install Boot Camp for drivers in Windows. This tutorial will explain how to make 2 Windows partitions using Disk Utility in Mac OS X 10.6.
3. Installing Wireless (WiFi) Driver in Windows 7 on Macbook 13" Late 2009 Unibody
4. Fixing slow booting in Windows 7 on Macbook 13" Late 2009 Unibody
5. Fixing the internal mic Macbook 13" Late 2009 on Windows 7
If you got your Windows 7 boot time slow, maybe it's because your license is not a correct one. So as to detour this problem, you can use the SLIC(Software Licensing Description Table) v2.1 with virtual BIOS.
To fix it:
1. Download the program from the following links (click here to download) and extract it.
2. Run the program.
3. Choose "2. SLIC 2.1 Bios Install", then
4. Choose "1. SLIC 2.1 Default", then
5. Choose "3. SLIC 2.1 HIDDEN 2", then
6. Choose "1. SLIC 2.1 HIDDEN 2".
7. Done. You will be asked to reboot your system.
Notes:
Reference: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r22969889-OS-X-Bootcamp-Windows-7-Ultra-Slow-Boot~start=20
After those steps, your OS might still need to be activated (tested on Win7 OEM only). To activate:
1. Run the program.
2. Choose "7. Windows 7 Activator", then
3. Choose "1. Windows 7 OEM + SLIC2.1", then
4. Choose "1. Windows 7 SLIC2.1 Activator".
5. It will take some time to finish.
For Win7 retail, try using Open 7 Activator 1.27, you can download it here. by Alvin
For those getting the 'error reinstall' message, I fixed this by assigning a drive letter to my 100MB 'System Reserved' partition in Windows 7. After you've worked the fix you can just remove the drive letter to hide the partition again. by Finn
I have a macbook pro and windows 7 through bootcamp. Had a slow loading and therefore took advantage of your program. But at the end of the activation received a message: "No support A.I" What to do?
ReplyDeleteI urgently need to activate Windows 7
so the slow loading problem is fixed already? To activate it, if you have win7 OEM like me, follow the steps above to activate your Windows, but if your Win7 is a retail version, try different option for the 3rd step above.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much man, I was having the blinking/flashing light problem that was lasting close to five minutes. This fixed it, now it boots fast, you are a genius! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteигорь,
ReplyDeleteI solved this problem using Open 7 activator 2.1.7.
Following are the complete steps:
1. Install SLIC 2.1 Bios through the instructions of the article.
2. download open 7 activator 2.1.7 and execute it.
@Alvin: nice...
ReplyDeleteUmm... I have a cracked Win 7 Ultimate, how exactly do I activate this hacked version without getting caught? Or is it not possible?
ReplyDeletewhat do you mean by cracked? Just activate the Windows with the tools mentioned here.
ReplyDeleteThanks man. This thing has been bugging me for quite some time now (Vista first, now Win7).
ReplyDeleteCheers
i tried the steps above but it still takes a long time. am i missing something? seems like it worked for others. i'm on a new MBP and a fresh install of a win 7.
ReplyDeleteHi awesome tutorial. Got this to work on my MBP/Bootcamp and my old HP laptop. Question my friend has an HP but with 64bit and AMD processor. Will this work? Please leave me any tips or advice.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous above me: haven't tried on other platforms, but I think it will work if different steps applied.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous above the Anonymous above me: I have no idea what u missed. Does anyone have the same problem?
I'm trying to extract those files but it always says: "This file is damaged"
ReplyDeleteI tried several apps(Bitzipper, WinRar, ...) to extract the files and downloaded them several times but nothing helped.
Can you help me?
Thanks
I am not able to extract it can anyone help me on this
ReplyDeletethanks alot this was bugging me for a long time.
ReplyDeleteWorked perfectly.
:)
i have bootcamp 3.1 installed, have new 2009 unibody 15in mbp and windows 7. i still have a mic issue with yahoo messenger (recently updated to 10). i can't get it to work, very frustrating. yahoo messenger works fine in os 10.6... please let me know if you have any ideas. try yourself and install yahoo messenger and make a free test call under preferences to confirm!
ReplyDeleteThanks! This fixed my boot issue!
ReplyDeleteThanks Man, you are a God :0) I nearly sold my MacBook because I need a fast Windows 7 boot. Been looking for a solution for ages. This is solid gold!
ReplyDeleteWOW! This worked great. Was having slow boot up on the blinking cursor part.
ReplyDeleteHave new 2010 Macbook Pro i5 "15.
THanks!
Awesome this makes booting windows much faster !
ReplyDeleteHackDaBox !
I had success in my last Windows 7 install. Now it says "error reinstall" while installing SLIC 2.1
ReplyDeletegreaaat. thanks alot man. wish you all the best in the future!
ReplyDeletesounds good, but I didn't succeed. I guess I dont understand something, im trying to type those commands, but nothing happens. please could anyone explain where and when to type each command. would appreciate it very much.
ReplyDelete@mantukaitis:
ReplyDeleteI didn't say you have to type those commands. You need to DOWNLOAD the program dude, and RUN the program (just double click the A.I-7E.exe file).
If you don't know how to extract, download WINRAR, install it, and right click the one of files, and choose to extract.
Good luck
I did everything you said, downloaded the program, extracted and ran it. but the problem was I didn't know how to enter my choice. it was just the number of each step. everything has been sorted now. thanks a lot!
ReplyDeletewhen i download and extract the files they are broken. we need new files for this. please add repaired files, after extracting it the installer opens with ALL question marks in the text boxes. part one is the ? roblem, and i can t get part two to extract at all using winrar
ReplyDelete@anonymous above:
ReplyDeleteI've tried download it again and I have no problems downloading & extracting the files. It's perfectly fine.
Try download it again.
I really need help!! It gives me an error message SLIC2.1 file not found?
ReplyDeleteWOW THIS IS THE MAN!!!! activated and everything!! super fast boot :)!!!
ReplyDeleteApparently isn't working anymore.
ReplyDeleteAfter all the choices it says nothing, opens up a steady window and if you close it it fails installation.
worked perfectly here.
ReplyDeletemacbook pro 13" 2.44ghz, 4gb ram
windows7 ultimate
This worked great! I'm on a MacBook Pro 15" i7 and running windows 7 ultimate. It used to take close to 3 minutes to begin booting windows, but now takes all of 3 seconds! Great Work man. Thank you
ReplyDeleteI works! finally, I`ve got this problem for months, thanks :D
ReplyDeleteI have Macbook Air...It works great on it...Thanks for the tip...
ReplyDeletedownload link not working
ReplyDelete@all: download link up now, enjoy :D
ReplyDeleteI makes my copy of windows say "this is not genuine" Is this meant to activate hacked copies of windows? Also it does nothing to address the long boot time. I dont have any flashing cursors or anything. Am I missing something?
ReplyDelete@anon: if you do this fix, you still need to activate the Windows again (if you've got the genuine copy, you can use ur genuine serial number). Many people use this fix successfully...so you may miss something in the steps.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thank you. This worked perfectly on my MBP.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Hi, I just made the macbook switch. Bought MBP 15" i7 and I installed Win7 Ultimate (torrent) via bootcamp. I'm not sure how to actually start using your method. I do get black screen with an underscore blinking, and then white screen (as if the mac is restarting itself). I get this for about 4 min. before the laptop just fully shuts down. It's an infinite loop that I can't get out of. Have you or anyone here experienced that? Any tips for how to get out of it and begin to use your method?
ReplyDeleteDoes this happen before you apply the fix? If it does, then you may "repair" your Win7 by using the Win7 DVD to recover.
ReplyDeleteSomeone has made it successfully using mbp 15" i7, so you should be able to do that too :D
Is your win7 an OEM or retail? If yours is a retail one, try using Open 7 activator 2.1.7. If not, just follow the steps.
Cheers
@viperfx07: Yes, this happened before the "fix" but after I tried win7 activator "loader 7 1.6". I repaired win7 with the recovery DVD. At least I'm no longer in an infinite loop! Haven't had the chance to try your method yet. From the success rate posted, should work np.
ReplyDeleteThis worked great for me
ReplyDeletewin7 64bit OEM
MBP 17" unibody
Thanks a lot! Worked a charm for me:
ReplyDeleteSomething had happened on my Bootcamp Partition that caused Windows Boot to remain in the Black Screen forever. Bevor that incident it took 55 Seconds Black Screen with blinking cursor.
After doing the Boot Repair I got it running (no more delay!!!) and Windows 7 64 booted up with "Not Genuine" Nag screen. Done the steps for OEM activation, and all is well now! Thanks!
MacBookAir (Late2010 13 2 120 1.86)
Have a Macbook Air (2008) with SSD. Formatted with NTFS and installed Win7 only. Got the slow boot problem despite legitimate copy of Win 7 Professional 32 bit OEM edition.
ReplyDeleteUsing the SLIC2.1 HIDDEN 2 function and reactivating Win7 with the same software reduced my boot time somewhat, but did not resolve the problem completely, it still takes about 100 seconds from pushing the button to desktop.
Using another copy of the same Win version on my Macbook Air (2010) works without problem, boot time 40 sec...
Hello.
ReplyDeleteI have MacBook 13" and it works like a charm. Just one question. My Nod32 when says this when running exe:
A.I_7E.exe » ZIP » A.I.exe » 7ZIP » data/SLIC2.1/BIOS.EXE - a variant of Win32/Packed.FlyStudio potentially unwanted application
Is it safe to use? I hope it isn't a virus...
Thank you!
@Tai-Chi:
ReplyDeleteIt's just a false alarm I reckon. I use Kaspersky and it doesn't detect anything. Maybe Nod32 does a better job. Even if it is a virus, as long everyone is happy, I will keep it as a solution to this problem.
Thank you soooooo much! Your guide helped me to immediately fix my slow win7 boot on my new macbook pro 15".
ReplyDelete;-) Klaus from linz, Austria
Thanks a million man! I've been having this slow boot for ages and this fixed it right up! I had resigned myself to forever having that terrible boot time so I hardly ever reboot. Now it's fixed! :D
ReplyDeleteFor those getting the 'error reinstall' message, I fixed this by assigning a drive letter to my 100MB 'System Reserved' partition in Windows 7. After you've worked the fix you can just remove the drive letter to hide the partition again.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for this fix, was really bugging me on the slow boot for ages!
I accidentally installed this software on my sony vaio netbook because I updte to windows 7 ultimate. Now my bios is currupt. some keys are not working.I already update the bios but still the same. how to fix this problem.
ReplyDeleteyou are a GOD!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! thought I would never find a solution for slow boot times. This was the only annoying thing about running win7 on my mac. again thanks :)
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks as i solved this but then after several bootups, today mon=rning when i tried to boot on windows7, it didnt stopped at black sreen, but stopped for about 5 mins at "starting windows" screen with microsoft logo.
ReplyDeletethen i restarted again then it booted with notime, then repeated same after half hour, it took around 1 mins.
Any solution as there surely something which preventing it starts normally on few ocassions. Also jsut for the info, i have deleted the downloaded file and extracted file from the download folder.
Like everyone else, thank you soooo much!!!
ReplyDeleteDoes this faster boot up also works in pirated window 7?
ReplyDeleteIt should work for pirated ones as well, 'cos I'm using it :D
ReplyDeleteI need to repost this comment, cos I accidentally deleted it. This comment is from Madeleine.
ReplyDeleteHi. I have a valid Win 7 home pro licence. And a macbook pro with lots of gigs and things. Will this work for me, as I also experience the same problem? What will happen to my existing files in bootcamp? I am in the middle of a heavy work project and dead scared of loosing something right now. And as I am not a pc expert - I am afraid of not being able to recover my files throug winclone. Is it possible to help me out with a step-by-step guide? Thank you so much in advance. Best, Madeleine.
@Madeleine:
ReplyDeleteI believe it will work. Since you have a valid license, you don't need to use my activation steps to activate your Windows.
Hope this helps. Good luck ;)
Thank you. Do you think it is worth it? If I do it and loose data, It would be catastrophic. Best, Madelein
ReplyDeleteIt's worth a try, since I haven't seen someone who lost their data when they tried this method...
ReplyDeleteworked a treat, thanks!
ReplyDeleteoh and I didnt need to activate windows again :s ah well :)
Thank you very much for the awesome post. I did everything u mentioned in your blog post.
ReplyDeleteBut I encountered a problem in activating windows (the final step). After pressing the respective keys, it started working (showing a "Please wait..." message). With in a few seconds, I got this message "No Support A.I" and an OK button to click. I don't know what the problem is...
I am using an OEM version of windows (a pirated one just like u)
You can try activating your Windows using other activators on the Internet.
ReplyDeleteYOU ARE MY HERO!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this Viperfx07.. This worked perfect on my Late 2011 MacBook Pro 13" and reduced the boot time by at least 70%.
ReplyDeleteI will be obliged if you could tell me one more thing, Do i need to hide the Windows Automatic Update KB 971033 which checks if your copy of window is genuine or not? Or should I keep this enabled.
You're right, you need to hide the KB 971033 update so it's not installed on your Windows.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder. I'll put it on my post :D
love you man!!!! muahhhh muahhhhh muahhhhh muahhhhhh muahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
ReplyDeletejust curious !!!can i use the activator part only from this program to activate windows7 on my hp and other PCs ?
ReplyDeleteYes, you can use the activator for other PCs. Just choose the "Win7 Forever Activation", kind of forgot the menu.
ReplyDeleteCan you activate your windows 7 with this? i mean that serial key part? Cause i installed windows 7 ultimate on my imac with bootcamp, and tried to activate it with like 7loader, but when it was complete, windows totally crashed. After that i had read on the internet that if you have more than 2 partions on your computer, like Bootcamp (C) drive and Macintosch HD (E), always one of the two crashes if you complete the installation. So i'm really asking you, could you activate your windows 7 ultimate with this download without anything crashes? and sorry if this question isn't original or stupid, but my english isn't that good at all. :(
ReplyDeleteAs I said in the previous comment, it can be used to activate. I forget which menu it is, but the keyword is "win 7 forever activation". Nothing crashes. Good luck !!!
ReplyDelete@viperfx07
ReplyDeletedownload link its not working bro,
can u reupload it?

ReplyDeleteAfter googling, there was someone who have uploaded the file. It's divided into two parts. Use Winrar to combine them.

hello,
ReplyDeletewill this work on imac 21.5, i5, 2012 too?
thanks.
Thanks a Lot !!!!! It worked. It went from 1.21 boot time to just 29 secs! you are a genius.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteYour solution worked great.
i still have a long boot time after the installation of SLIC2.1. but when i install SLIC 2.1, it says:
ReplyDeleteUpdated NTFS filesystem bootcode. The update may be unreliable since the volume could not be locked
during the update:
Access is denied.
Bootcode was successfully updated on all targeted volumes.
how to i fix this?? pls help, thank you!
I LOVE YOU MAN !
ReplyDeleteworked for windows 7 ultimate borrowed edition installed with bootcamp.
now it takes 4 secondes instead of a minute.
You're a focking genius.
before my start up take 2.5min, after apply viper fix, it shorten to 1min. highly recommended. Appreciate viper work.
ReplyDeleteYa..man it works..i tried so many loaders for mac since last so many days...but you rocked and solved my problem..thanks

ReplyDeletehttp://www.mediafire.com/?bow2184fcfv2rpd
Incredible! Thanks so much for swiftly updating the link. Installed and works no problems. Boot time from 1:50 to 3 seconds before splash screen.
ReplyDeleteThanks again!
Thank you so much!
ReplyDeleteWindows is activated and the black hole time has been cut in half.
Hello, viperfx07 and thanks for the file. But it's not working for me. I have Windows 7 on a second partition on my MacBook Pro. I followed the steps and entered 2, 1, 3 then 1. But now when I boot I get "error 13, invalid or unsupported executable format. Press any key to continue" When I press any key, I get a red screen with menu list.
ReplyDeleteCan you help me please?
This is a follow-up comment.
ReplyDeleteThe first line of the error message I get is "chainloaader /bootmgr".
In the red screen's menu list, there's an option that contains something like menu.lst.
I have to edit that to enable chainloading, right?
I'm a total noob when it comes to command line interfaces :)
Thank you, worked like a charm on a cracked version of Windows 7 Ultimate running through Bootcamp on a 15" retina MBP
ReplyDeleteHi... do you still have the A.I-7E file? I lost that file and I need it. If possible can you reupload or send it to me?
ReplyDeleteThank you! working real fine on my Macbook Pro
ReplyDelete@sipantek
